Nox
About: Amelia purchased Nox (previously Fox) from Adrienne and Scott Hill of Stari Nite Farm when he was about six months old. He spent the following winter being harness broken and immediately showed confidence and eagerness in harness which led us to start training him as a leader. Nox is tall, dark, and handsome and has an amazing, happy personality though at times can be a little obNOXious. He gets along with just about everyone, but is especially close with his BFF Violet.

Eclipse
About: Eclipse is one of the celestial events litter out of Diane's dogs, Preakness and Pluto. As a yearling, Eclipse found his way to Amelia's main team and even tried out in lead where he has dabbled many times. Eclipse is still maturing but spends a lot of time in point and always runs on the left. He is a dog Amelia "forgets" about a lot because he's never causing any trouble. He's a silly, happy boy who gets along with everyone (though don't try to touch his feet!).

Fraser
About: This big boy is one of the Christmas tree litter out of Maple and Nox. Fraser is a big boy and has really earned his place as a strong team dog that runs almost any position. In the dog yard Fraser is easy going, sort of goofy, friendly, and all-around nice. He loves to stretch out his long legs and tries to set his paws on your shoulders. Fraser and his brother are the best of friends, but Fraser gets along with just about everyone in the kennel.

Cedar
About: Cedar is one of the 5 Christmas Tree litter out of Nox and Maple. Technically Diane's pup, Cedar was her pick from darn near the moment he was born. Cedar is a strong, sweet boy who runs in any team position on the right. He is a big softy, loves pets, and loves to make us laugh. Cedar is in the boys group but has been especially bonded with his brother, so he lives with Amelia and trains on her main team.

Spruce
About: Yet another Christmas tree pup from Nox and Maple, Spruce is one of the three females. Hear yearling winter she spend a lot of time trying different positions on the team but has earned her spot in lead. She is a quiet girl with a lovely build who gets a little bouncy and crazy when it's time to run. Spruce is friendly and enjoys hanging out with her sister Tamarack, and spends a lot of time in the team with Derby
|
Tamarack
About: Tamarack is the feisty loudmouth of the Christmas tree litter from Nox and Maple. In the team, she is a nice, balanced dog who enjoys balancing on the gangline when we aren't moving. She is a goofy girl with a love for all things. Tamarack is very easy to amp up and get excitable, then she zooms around or yells quite loudly. Tamarack gets along with most dogs, but spends a lot of time with her sister Spruce or brother Cedar in team.

Juniper
About: Juniper returned to Top of the Hill during the summer of 2021. She spent the first 3 years of her life at our close friends, Scott and Adrienne HIll of Stari Nite Farm. The neighbors by their property are big fans of fireworks and firing guns, and Juniper really developed an aversion to the loud noises, so she's back at home to continue working and partying. Juniper (fondly known as Junipest or The Pest) is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, and silly girl. She loves to party and play, but she knows when to put on her game face when the harness comes out. We're looking forward to having her back on our teams with her siblings.

Clark
About: Clark is one of the two orphan boys from our Wanda and Neptune litter. He is a very large, strong male who has really matured into a nice, driven team dog. Clark is the spitting image of his momma, Wanda. He is built quite like her, and there are a lot of times when the resemblance is uncanny. Clark is a funny guy who loves pets and sticking his head between your knees. He and his brother continue to be very close and are usually together.
|
Eddie
About: Eddie is the second orphan son from Wanda and Neptune. He takes more after his daddy and has channeled a lot of that focus in harness. He's started in lead and is a great prospect there. Though smaller than Clark, he is strong and beautifully built. Eddie is the playful, mischievous pup who loves to tease his brother and neighbors, and encourage a game of tag but is very serious about work which definitely comes from his momma.
|
Violet
About: Violet is another dog Amelia purchased from Adrienne and Scott Hill of Stari Nite Farm. In harness, Violet is very confident and has spent her fair share of time in lead. She is as sweet as can be with us and at dinner time, she hops around on her hind legs, earning her the nickname "little kangaroo." She loves to police the rest of our dogs during play time and really has a great time roughhousing with her best friend, Nox.
|
Derby
About: Derby is one of the three very special dogs born of Faith and Nox. Derby has grown into the biggest of his siblings, and he adds a ton of strength to Amelia's team. He is a happy boy, and he, like his siblings, has proved to be a natural leader and all around great element to the team. He's earned his spot as #1 leader, being very forgiving, intelligent, and driven to do what Amelia asks. Derby's adorable face, beautiful build, big bones, and awesome personality make him a very special boy. He and Spruce are usually together in team, and in the yard he spends his playtime trying to convince Violet to play with him instead of his daddy, Nox.

Royal
About: Amelia purchased this boy from Chuck Cullip in St. Ignace in the UP of Michigan. Royal is on of the late Trailbound Brick's sons. Royal will run in any team position, including lead, but tends to stay in wheel with his well-matched brother Bob. Royal is a very shy but sweet boy who doesn't trust many besides Amelia and Diane. As it is, he is incredibly happy guy with the cutest little pounce. He as his brother Bob are an amazing pair and you will usually see them besides each other in team or in the dog yard.

Bob
About: Amelia purchased this boy from Chuck Cullip in St. Ignace in the UP of Michigan just a short while after getting his brother, Royal. Bob is also out of our late Trailbound Brick. Bob will run in any position including lead, though he spends most time in team with Royal. Bob is a very happy-go-lucky, silly boy who can at times be pretty spastic. He loves his jobs and loves all people. He and his brother Royal are an amazing pair and you will usually see them besides each other at a race and in the yard.

Hilaria

From the moment this litter was born, Amelia and Hilaria had a connection. As a yearling, Hilaria was already proving herself to be a leader with her incredible drive and intelligence. Hilaria is very funny, large female who aims to please. She gets along with almost everyone and spends her time in the yard by Spruce and Tamarack.

Milly
About: Milly is a wonderfully sweet and patient dog we got here in Wisconsin. She is from Chlout lines and has the sweet disposition that we have experienced with those dogs. We had a lovely litter out of her in the spring of 2020 and just love her and the traits she passed on to her babies. She is a hard lefty but very smart and motivated. We love this girl!

SnowAbout: Snow is pet dog of Amelia's. She was adopted as a surrogate to Eddie and Clark after being taken in from a hoarding situation in southern Wisconsin. Snow was a great milk bar for the boys' first few weeks of life, making their care a little easier. As a dog from a horrible living condition, but one we know not much about, she has the type of behavior issues that come with being un-socialized and living in a poor environment for her life before we met her. She gets along fabulously with Tsar, and if we stick to the routine, she is a good dog who just wants love but safely and on her terms.
